The Arizona Association for Gifted and Talented is excited to feature National Association of Gifted and Talented President Shelagh Gallagher at the Gifted and Talented Summer Seminar! Dr. Gallagher will lead teachers to “Discover the Magic” of ill-structure problems through some of her award-winning problem-based learning scenarios.

Participants will experience interactive sessions with the opportunity to engage in PBL and breakout sessions for different grades. Problem based learning provides students the opportunity to become professional problem solvers and is proven to support long-term information retention and self-directed learning. In PBL, the teacher is a metacognitive coach and guide, not the expert in control of the information.
