Gifted Summer Series | Teaching Gifted Learners: Foundations of Differentiation and Challenge

JUNE 9-11, 2026 | 2:30 - 4:30 PM | $40

This introductory professional development course for teachers new to gifted education builds foundational skills in differentiation to better serve gifted learners. Participants will explore practical frameworks that promote depth, complexity, and creativity, with hands-on activities and collaborative discussions to develop a ready-to-use instructional “toolbox.” Guided by Vertical Differentiation for Gifted, Advanced, and High Potential Students and A Teacher’s Toolbox for Gifted Education, teachers will leave with transferable strategies for mixed-ability classrooms. Participants earn six recertification credit hours (applicable toward a gifted endorsement) and receive a $25/hour stipend for the six-hour course
