Uconn Project Eagle Workshop

Category: AAGT Partner Events
Project EAGLE (Eliciting Advanced Gifted Learning Evidence) addresses the critical need for assessment systems that better identify missed talent. We tackle the issue of under identification, which leads to untapped talent, by implementing a dynamic approach to recognizing gifted behaviors. This approach empowers grade 3 through 5 teachers to use our Points of Promise observation checklist, designed to identify characteristics of mathematical potential and talent, as they observe and engage students in five problem-based math activities specifically crafted to elicit gifted behaviors. Five trainers in Arizona are now available to conduct NO COST workshops during the 2025-26 academic year. Workshop attendees receive 6 hours of training in the EAGLE approach, which includes identifying gifted math behaviors and SEI strategies. This may satisfy GT, ESL, or math training hours, depending upon district requirements and each attendee will receive a bound copy of the EAGLE lessons for classroom use! Register for one of our open workshops now or schedule your own! Register for the January 31st Workshop
